TrenTyx Privacy Policy – What Is Collected and What Never Leaves Your Browser
Short version: nothing you paste into a tool on this site is ever transmitted, stored or seen by anyone. Aggregate visit statistics are collected through Google Analytics, and the details of that — including how to switch it off — are below.
Effective date: 1 August 2026 · Last updated: 1 August 2026
Who Is Responsible
TrenTyx is operated by Ahmad Fawaid, an independent developer based in Indonesia, acting as the data controller for this website. Questions about this policy or about data handling can be sent to contact [at] trentyx [dot] com.
What Happens to Data You Enter Into the Tools
Nothing. Every tool on this site — the formatters, converters, generators, diff tools, decoders and counters — runs entirely as JavaScript inside your browser tab. The text, JSON, SQL, tokens, images or files you provide are processed on your own device and are never sent to this site, its host, or any third party. There is no upload step, no API call, and consequently no server log, database record or backup containing your input.
This is verifiable rather than a promise: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the network panel, and use any tool on the site. No request carrying your input will appear. Saving a tool page and opening it with your connection disabled also works, which would be impossible if processing happened remotely.
The practical implication is worth spelling out, because it is the main reason this site exists. A JWT you decode here, a SQL query you format, a password you generate, or a hash you compute cannot be logged or leaked by TrenTyx, because TrenTyx never receives them.
What Is Stored on Your Device
Some tools remember your preferences using your browser's local storage, so that settings survive a page reload. Examples include your light or dark theme choice, keyword casing and indentation preferences in the SQL formatter, and comparison options in the diff tools. This data stays on your device, is not personal information, is not transmitted anywhere, and disappears when you clear your browser storage for this site.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which tools are used and which pages need improvement. It sets cookies and processes your IP address, which under most privacy laws counts as personal data, so it is described here in full.
What is collected: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address at city level, device type, browser, operating system, referring site, and how long a session lasts. IP addresses are anonymised by Google before storage and are not available to this site's operator.
What is not collected: anything you type into a tool. Analytics events on this site record page views only. No tool input, output, file name or file content is included in any event, because the tool logic and the analytics script never exchange data.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding aggregate usage of a free website, balanced against the limited nature of the data collected.
How to opt out: any of these work, and none of them affect the tools, which function identically with analytics blocked:
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Enable tracking protection in your browser, or use any content blocker.
- Send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal from your browser settings.
- Block cookies for this domain, or clear them after each visit.
Web Fonts
Pages load the IBM Plex and JetBrains Mono typefaces from Google Fonts. That request goes to Google's servers, which means Google can see your IP address and user agent when a font is fetched, even though no cookie is set by the font service. This is disclosed because it is a third-party connection that many privacy policies quietly omit. Fonts are cached after the first visit, and blocking them only changes how the page looks, not how it works. Self-hosting these fonts to remove the connection entirely is on the maintenance list.
Hosting
The site is served as static files by a commercial web host. Like any web server, it records standard technical access logs containing IP addresses, timestamps, requested paths and user agents. These logs exist for security and reliability, are retained for a short period by the host, and are not used to build profiles or combined with any other data. They never contain tool input, because tool input is never sent to the server.
Advertising
There is none. No advertising network, no retargeting pixel, no affiliate tracker and no social media widget is present on any page. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated before any such code is added, and the change will be noted on this page with a new effective date.
If you write to the contact address, your message and email address are stored in the mailbox for as long as needed to handle your request, and are used only to reply to you. They are not added to any mailing list, because none exists. There is no newsletter.
Your Rights
Under Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022), and under the GDPR or CCPA if you are covered by them, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data held about you, and you may object to processing. In practice, the only personal data connected to you here is contained in aggregate analytics and in email you may have sent, since the tools themselves collect nothing. Requests can be sent to the contact address and will be answered within 30 days. For analytics data held by Google, the opt-out methods above take effect immediately and Google's own privacy controls also apply.
International Transfers
Analytics data is processed by Google on infrastructure that may be located outside your country, including the United States, under the safeguards described in Google's own privacy documentation.
Children
These are developer utilities with no social features, no accounts and no content submission, and they are not directed at children under 13. No age information is requested or collected.
Security
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Because there are no accounts, no sessions, no uploads and no database, the categories of breach that affect most websites do not apply here — there is no stored user data to expose.
Changes to This Policy
Material changes will be reflected in the effective date at the top of this page. Changes that expand data collection, such as adding advertising or a new third-party script, will be described explicitly rather than folded silently into a revision.
Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
